Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Mechanical/Product Engineering Intern to work with our team on assignments related to the creation, development and/or improvement of product designs.  You’ll be a part of a small, tight-knit team and will work design, manufacturing, manufacturing partners, and other stakeholders as we create, develop, and prove out new products. Our headquarters is in Dahlonega, GA, but we will be developing products out of Grand Rapids, MI! (Some travel may be required).

You will be…

• RESEARCHING… dive into material properties and manufacturing techniques. Understand the engineering principles behind the designs. Be ready to write technical summaries and share out with the team.
• APPLYING ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES… start using your engineering training to build intelligence into your/our designs.
• DRAFTING… CAD is a powerful tool (we use Solidworks), you will help create parts and drawings.
• PHYSICALLY ACTIVE… We like to get our hands dirty; get ready to make your designs come to life using rapid prototyping and learning cycle mindsets.
• ENGAGING… StruXure has a unique, entrepreneurial spirit; we are looking for someone is not afraid to bring their personality!

What we need from you:

• Progress in achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• CAD Experience, Solidworks experience would be a plus.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The hourly rate for this role in Grand Rapids: $24.00/hr.
