About AZIZA PE&CE

AZIZA PE&CE (AP) is on a mission to renew the health and well-being of Black girls and LGBTQ youth and their communities through instilling Black history & culture, self-love, and solidarity into their souls. We envision a future shaped by youth who are empowered, thriving, mentally well, and self-sufficient. To realize this vision, we offer in-school, after-school, and summer programs dedicated to transforming the lives of underserved youth. AP uses culturally sensitive programming that is trauma-informed to give youth the tools to develop confidence, self-love, leadership, entrepreneurship, communication, and team-building skills. Additionally, AP works with the parents and families of the youth we serve to build better familial relationships and provide them with access to behavioral health and social services, as needed. Our approach has led to positive, sustainable improvements in mental health, educational, and personal development outcomes in the youth we serve, their families and their communities.
