What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dealer Trainee position at Aztar Indiana Gaming Company L L C?
Job Summary: Candidates will learn to deal the game of Blackjack during on the job training. The course will last approximately 80 to120 hours. When training is completed, candidates must be able to deal the game proficiently enough to pass an audition, according to current policies and procedures set forth in the Tropicana Evansvilles Standard Operating Procedures and in accordance with Indiana Gaming Commission regulations. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
After successful completion of the Blackjack Dealer School and Table Test Audition candidates may be placed into an open Dealer position at the contractual rate of pay, subject to a 90-day introductory period.
Qualifications:
Must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements.
Must successfully pass table games math assessment.
Must successfully pass a simulated live game audition.
Must be courteous and project a positive outward image at all times.
Must maintain a positive, supportive attitude throughout class.
Must maintain satisfactory test and skill assessment scores throughout class. Failure to do so will cause immediate dismissal from class.
Must maintain excellent attendance. Failure to do so will cause immediate dismissal from the class and will not be permitted to audition for employment as a dealer.
Business casual attire and neatness is required at all times.
Candiates who successfully pass the blackjack dealer audition must be able to obtain the respective Indiana Gaming Commission license.
