The US Car Care Division of Recochem is seeking an experienced Buyer to join us at Adam's Polishes and B & B Blending. We are a global leader in formulating, producing, contract packaging and wholesale distribution of car care and household products.
Job Summary:
Plan and assist in purchasing materials and supplies cross-company for the Car Care Group. Manage key functions within SAP specific to purchasing. Qualify vendors, evaluate bids, and negotiate prices and terms for purchased goods. Help report vital KPI’s to drive cost savings. Support inventory accuracy improvement projects.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Play an active role as a member the Procurement team.
- Conduct daily purchasing activities for specific categories.
- Monitor negative on hand inventory, assign resources to correct issues, work on root cause projects to reduce negative on hand occurrences.
- Manage vendor delivery dates for system accuracy.
- Coordinate cycle count completions, monitor variances, work on root cause projects to reduce inventory variances and bad cycle counts.
- Responsible for running MRP to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Coordinate and lead cycle counts on vital inventories.
- Daily oversight of all open purchase orders in SAP
- Assist in the management of the system data directly related to supply chain functions.
- Oversee negotiations of cost savings initiatives with key vendors
- Manage and report on purchasing focused KPI’s.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Required Skill/Abilities:
- 3-5 years of buying experience
- Developed influencing & negotiation skills
- Project planning, resource & budget management
- Highly developed IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Shopify, Shipstation, and Monday.com
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High School diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
