SUMMARY: Continually strive to improve the workflow process and/or ways to encourage greater output while maintaining quality. The primary function of the Maintenance Inventory Clerk is to maintain daily inventory of maintenance parts inventory, maintain and order the necessary items to ensure that the maintenance mechanics have the parts to repair the companies equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspects incoming items to ensure what was ordered is received. Takes appropriate corrective actions when ordered items do not arrive. Communicates to all necessary parties what the inventory levels are on a daily basis. Communicate with maintenance management on a daily basis and stay informed of any increases in orders that may affect inventory needs. Assists with the set-up and implementation of inventory management using Maintenance connection Manages inventory of all Maintenance Parts and materials. Helps with the management of work orders. Verify inventory accuracy by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Get quotes from various vendors. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in parts room. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
