What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material handler night position at B&H?
Material handlers are responsible for storing, verifying, and preparing merchandise for shipment including but not limited to selecting packaging, staging and labelling.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Load or package boxes and crates for shipping while ensuring accuracy of contents
- Assist with packing materials distribution and disposal of empty boxes
- Stock items in assigned locations within the warehouse and take part in the inventory count process
- Accurately move merchandise from existing stock to fill customer’s orders
Additional Responsibilities :
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Must be able to Lift 50lbs independently and up 80lbs with assistance
- Extended periods of standing / walking (10 hours / day)
- Attention to detail and ability to count
- Must be able to locate and identify specific items
- Must be able to manually pack and seal boxes following standard procedures
Required Schedule : Sunday 9am-6pm; Monday-Thursday 3 : 45pm-11 : 45pm
