BIM/VDC Plumbing Detailer (On-site, in office position)

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares shop/detail drawings and as built drawings.
• Use latest version of Revit and AutoCAD to assist in creation of all shop drawings.
• Be trained to perform material take offs from shop drawings as required.
• Ready to learn to understand Mechanical trade components with opportunity to build a trade career, including OJT and Trade School Advancements.
• Be ready to learn and comprehend construction documents.
• Learn to prepare prefabrication spool drawings.
• Ensures and maintains quality for finished drawings.
• Coordinate with other trades example; structural, piping, duct, electrical & interior design.
• Conducts site verification as required.
• Maintains and updates electronic and manual records of the company.
• Secure all company documents at all times.
• Maintains shop drawing log for all jobs.
• Recommends changes for improvement in the system, methods and procedures.
• Abides with the company rules regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Able to make coordination changes to drawings with knowledge of local codes and installation.
• Stay up to date with current and future software.
• Able to communicate with others within the company as well as vendors, customers, and general contractors.
• Show willingness to share knowledge with others.
• Accept change as a necessary process for successful execution of our projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Attention to detail, inquisitive mindset, and willingness to learn including, but not limited to, OJT and schooling.
• Basic knowledge of Naviswork Manage a plus.
• Basic Knowledge of Revit a plus.
• Basic knowledge of different HVAC piping equipment and systems in terms of function and local codes a plus.
• Ideal candidates should possess most of the following: Computer Literacy (basics), attention to detail, strong communication skills, sense of urgency, highly motivated, takes pride in their work, dependable, hardworking, welcoming to new challenges and be team oriented.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Able to learn new skills and apply new skills to further their career.

Must be able to hear and speak clearly with professional standard grammar.
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 20 lbs., must have dexterity of fingers (or mechanical substitutions).
