About the Opportunity
B Lab Global’s Product team is responsible for designing strategies, building roadmaps, and defining the future of B Lab’s technology products. As a relatively new team with big ambitions, our 2022 focus will be to design and executive a collaborative user feedback strategy involving internal and external stakeholders. The Product team will facilitate an array of understanding and ideation sessions to work with stakeholders to validate and design solutions that will empower our internal teams by providing efficient and effective toolsets.
Our current products include the B Impact Assessment, used by over 70,000 businesses worldwide, including over 4,000 Certified B Corporations, which helps companies assess their impact on various stakeholders-- including their workers, community, customers, and the environment. Most recently, B Lab has added the SDG Action Manager to our platform. The SDG Action Manager brings together B Lab's B Impact Assessment and the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact to enable meaningful business action through dynamic self-assessment, benchmarking, and improvement.
B Lab Product Managers are constantly asking questions to discover new, relevant information that will drive software development forward. They synthesize research findings, keep the right stakeholders informed and are the final say in product prioritization decisions. They are the organization’s strategy representative on the development team and will make decisions guided by Global Objectives, and by using feasibility inputs from the Technology team along with usability/desirability inputs from designers and who connect with and advocate for users. The Product Managers' work ensures every other role on the balanced team knows exactly what they can do and when to do it to best move work forward.
We are currently looking for two Product Managers to join our Product team. Each position will have a focus on either Identity & Access Management or Analytics. Applicants will have the opportunity to apply to either or both positions, but the core responsibilities listed below are applicable to both roles.
Core Responsibilities
Product domain & management 30%
- As a Product Manager, you will take initiative to design, and work with engineering and other cross-functional teams to build the strategic elements and enable go-to-market features and services to customers
- Own your product; take ownership of processes, opportunities, challenges; drive product journey from discovery through support
- Maintain top-down well-rounded view of the platform foundation, mission, strategy, and tactical approach
- Stand by your analysis and experience, making quality decisions in a timely manner
Define 30%
- Brainstorm, design, architect, challenge, debate proposals and designs with cross-functional teams
- Build out product features by documenting understandable user stories and process flows for the development team
Understand 30%
- Represent business goals and solutions; collaborate cross-functionally to arrive at the optimal outcome for the products and customers
- Serve as the “face” of your product to internal and external stakeholders, and engage across functions (e.g., Technology, Program, Finance) to anticipate and articulate support in product design
- Understand the customer and market by digging into the data, user research, and interviewing your product’s users
- See around corners for future products by staying up to date with industry trends and influence
Communicate 10%
- Deliver presentations and demo product features to a variety of audiences, distilling complex problems and decisions to their core
About You
- Product manager with focus on Identity & Access: Background and domain knowledge in identity management and access management
- Product manager with focus on Analytics focus: Background in dashboards, data visualization, and customer-centric analytics products
- 3 Experience leading product design, including feature breakdown, use case creation, and detailed requirements definition
- Strong outcome-based prioritization and roadmapping
- Experience leading teams via Agile/Scrum processes
- User-centered design (UCD) techniques: prototyping, usability testing
- User research: interview planning, execution, and synthesis
- Ability to think strategically on business objectives, and to simultaneously act tactically to deliver against them
- Capable of simplifying and communicating complex and issues in an easy-to-understand manner
- Ability to communicate thoughtfully, demonstrating problem-solving skills, active listening, all while continuously learning
The ideal candidate will also:
- Have full professional proficiency in English
- Have passion for using business to solve social and environmental problems
- Consider themselves a relentless problem solver, with a collaborative style and a systems-thinking approach and are constantly looking to refine your designs through feedback
- Works independently, but not alone, leading through influence in a highly matrix-ed team
- Outcome-driven product management for complex international applications with many user personas, journeys, stakeholders, and data analysis/implementations

Compensation Details
B Lab offers a competitive compensation plan that includes:
- A monthly salary of R$15,000 - R$20,000
- Sick & other leave in accordance with Brazilian statutory leave allowance
- Company provided laptop
Hiring Process
We require the following in order to consider your application:

If you progress through additional stages in the hiring process you can expect to:
- Complete a one-way video interview presented by our team via Spark Hire
- Participate in two face-to-face (video conference) interviews
