Production Supervisor

Position Summary:
Provide resources to work teams while maintaining/monitoring safety, quality, and efficiency in the manufacturing of glass fabrics. Understanding and being able to clearly present information to all employees regarding manufacturing goals.
Position Responsibilities:
- Safety – Maintains safe work environment to all employees to perform their assigned tasks. Make sure that all employees follow the safety procedures for the tasks they are performing. Update Job Safety Analysis documents as needed.
- Production – Ensure timely and accurate production to schedule. Document and communicate shift happenings through daily shift reports.
- Quality – Assist employees in maintaining highest quality standards. Assure that all customer requirements are met before cloth is shipped. (Pack correctly, correct shipping labels, specifications met, etc.) Maintain compliance with all ISO recording and report changes when necessary. Help control waste, rejects, and seconds. Gather and maintain data relative to department functions.
- Cost/Efficiency – Help control labor costs, downtime, machinery malfunction, and time management of employees. Maintain budget.
- Administration – Order parts, special items, and other necessary supplies as needed. Record all paperwork concerning employees. Update specification sheets, work orders, and work instructions as needed. Approve timecards. Complete check sheets for equipment function. Complete reports related to production, quality, and waste. Monitor plant inventory.
- Training – Complete rating forms and appraisals. Monitor and document employee progress during training. Cover training packages with employees weekly. Assist instructors in evaluating employees’ performance. Promote professional development.
- Coaching – Guide, direct, motivate, lead, and communicate. Assist other leaders in development a teamwork environment.
- Teamwork – Facilitate team meetings and serve on process improvement teams.
- Discipline – Responsible and accountable for employee discipline matters of direct reports.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior Supervisory experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications
- Excellent time management and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
