About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Specialist to be part of Wells Fargo's second line of defense and Independent Risk Management team, covers jobs which lead the design and management of a highly targeted independent credit review (oversight) capability to assess the quality of lending and ongoing management of credit risk within the Bank, including adherence to risk appetite, credit policy and regulation. In this role, you will: Contribute to credit performance, potential or emerging risks. Identify and resolve process gaps by incorporating root cause analysis, control design assessment, and strategic thinking. Develop and maintain Credit Risk systems to support the ongoing oversight needs of the Consumer Credit Risk organization. Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to build consensus, challenge partners when necessary, and drive for timely completion of requirements. Manage time-sensitive, critical enterprise or credit risk initiatives in an organized and independent manner. Lead moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for risk mitigation strategies within Credit Risk. Review and analyze moderately complex processes and projects, business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Required Qualifications: 4 years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. Desired Qualifications: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience utilizing various systems and provide operational and strategic insight to support to the organization’s systems needs on ongoing basis. Ability to work independently and execute in a fast-paced, high-demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities. Ability to apply strategic thinking and thought leadership to initiatives and ensure timely completion of objectives. Ability to communicate issues, risks, and proposed solutions effectively and succinctly, in both written and verbal formats, with senior leaders. Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of the organization. Problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to turn findings into executable plans. Proficiency in MS Office Suite product skills to include (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Word, etc…). Experience with maintenance and development of systems such as SharePoint, RMATT, ACES, MCP, or CAAMS. Consumer lending operations exposure. Experience in successfully escalating complex issues and tracking follow-through to completion. Experience in conducting credit risk analytics, gap assessments, and Risk Control Self Assessments. Knowledge and understanding of underwriting and use of delegated credit authority. Experience with credit risk testing policy and procedures/control testing. Locations: 2700 S.
