HMDA Specialist II

Summary

The HMDA Specialist II is responsible for timely review of all HMDA reportable loans and/or applications for originated, approved but not accepted, denied and withdrawn to ensure the bank is compliant with Regulation C. This position assures all documentation is in accordance with loan approvals, loan policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Specific Job Functions

• HMDA Reporting of Originated loans 
  1. Review all originated loans for HMDA applicability
  2. Confirm all HMDA data fields to be reported
  3. Upload or input all originated HMDA transactions into the HMDA software
  4. Review all reports generated from the HMDA software for accuracy
• HMDA Reporting of Denied, Withdrawn and Approved but not Accepted applications
  1. Review all applications indicated to be HMDA applicable
  2. Confirm all HMDA data fields to be reported
  3. Input all Denied, Withdrawn and Approved but not Accepted HMDA transactions into the HMDA software
  4. Review all reports generated from the HMDA software for accuracy
• HMDA Reporting
  1. Validate all reported data fields in the HMDA software
  2. Generate and review all HMDA reports for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  3. Assist with any HMDA research for internal and external audit questions
  4. Assist in submitting the HMDA LAR annually

Minimum Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 – 5 years of consumer and commercial loan operations experience is required.
• Demonstrates good understanding of loan documentation processes.
• Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients.
• Must be organized, attentive to detail, and self-disciplined to work independently.
• Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Suite.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and dependable work ethnic.
• Knowledge of Laser Pro or similar loan origination system experience is preferred.
