Facilities and After School Programs Coordinator

Overview:

The Facilities and Programs Coordinator at B5 Learning Center is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all programs, except for the ESL LEP program, and managing facility-related tasks to support program activities. This role works closely with the Operations Manager and the program leads to coordinate schedules, activities, and resources, ensuring they meet the needs of participants.

Key Responsibilities:

After School Program Coordination:

  • Work closely with the program leads to understand program needs and objectives.
  • Assist in coordinating program schedules, activities, and resources to meet participant needs.
  • Support program staff and volunteers in implementing planned activities and ensuring their successful execution, and lead activities as needed.
  • Monitor student behavior for safety and engagement, mediate conflicts, and support staff in creating a positive learning environment.

Facilities Management:

  • Coordinate facility-related tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment for program activities.
  • Oversee room setup and cleanup for program activities, ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards, coordinating with appropriate personnel for resolution.

Event Support:

  • Assist in managing the events calendar in collaboration with the Operations Manager - Provide support for event setup and logistics, including room arrangements and equipment setup, to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure that facilities are prepared and available for scheduled events and activities.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with program leads, Operations Manager, and other stakeholders regarding program schedules, facility needs, and event logistics.
  • Collaborate with program leads and Operations Manager to address any issues or concerns related to program coordination or facility management.

Qualifications:

  • AA degree in a related field to the mission of the organization or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in program coordination, facilities management, or related roles preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of basic facility maintenance and event coordination principles.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
