What are the responsibilities and job description for the PLC Programmer position at Baader Linco Inc?
Primary job responsibilities will be to write and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs for Baader machinery utilizing Allen-Bradley components.
1. Travel to customer facilities for electronic and software support
2. PLC and HMI Program creation
3. PLC and HMI program troubleshooting and modification
4. PLC and HMI troubleshooting and support over the Internet
5. Provide phone customer support for electronic controls
6. Wiring projects and machinery up at customer site
7. Specification and configuration of electronic controls
8. Programming and expert level support on electrical components such as PLC's, HMI's, and VFD's
Minimum Education:
· Accredited bachelor’s degree (4 year program) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science OR 5 years’ experience with writing PLC Code
Years of Experience:
· Entry Level – No Experience Necessary
Minimum Skills Required (language, math, reasoning):
· Read and understand PLC programs.
· Read and understand electrical/electronic drawings and instruction.
· Read and understand equipment manuals, shop drawings and equipment/tool operation instructions.
· Familiar with electrical/electronics troubleshooting equipment and application.
· Ability to discuss technical issues with coworkers and customers and impart understanding of machine requirements.
· Ability to direct work without creating conflict.
· Ability to troubleshoot and solve moderately difficult problems with clear alternatives to choose from.
· Ability to create simple reports and conduct simple math.
Ability to Use:
· Electrical/electronics troubleshooting tools.
· Computer (and related software)
· Delicate and exacting tools and measuring devices.
· Various power tools such as drills and saws.
· Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
· Ability to work with little supervision
· Subject matter expert on electronic controls
· Subject matter expert on Baader machinery containing electronics
· Responsible for the quality, cost effectiveness, and safety of all control panels
· Responsible for the accurate and timely repair and installation of electronic equipment.
· Kansas City Office
· Customer’s facility on production floor

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
