SUMMARY: The Campus Liaison is responsible for developing and nurturing on-campus contacts (e.g., professors, university staff, Greek-life representatives). The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that Baby Steps is a well-known resource throughout campus. This role will focus on cultivating one-on-one relationships and engaging with public audiences through class presentations, hosting a table at internship fairs, chapter visits, etc. Another primary role of this position is being lead supervisor for Baby Steps’ on-campus club members. The club is a vital part of promoting and serving Baby Steps and comprises volunteer college students who desire to empower Student-Moms and their babies. The Campus Liaison will oversee the development and implementation of such meetings, campaigns, and projects. 


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree (preferably an alumni from Auburn University)
  • Connections to Auburn University’s campus
  • Leadership experience
  • Passionate about the mission of Baby Steps

RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  1. Resource Visibility: By developing and nurturing on-campus contacts, the Campus Liaison ensures that Baby Steps becomes a well-known resource throughout the campus. This visibility is crucial for reaching Student-Moms who may benefit from the organization's support services.
  2. Community Engagement: The role focuses on cultivating relationships with professors, university staff, Greek-life representatives, and other university populations. This engagement not only strengthens ties between the Baby Steps Hub and the university community but also fosters collaboration and mutual support.
  3. Public Outreach: Engaging with public audiences through class presentations, internship fairs, and other events helps raise awareness about Baby Steps. This outreach is essential for reaching a broader audience of students who may be unaware of the organization's services. 
  4. Student Club Leadership: Being the lead supervisor for Baby Steps' on-campus club members is an opportunity to actively involve students in promoting and serving the organization. The student club serves as a vital component in empowering Student-Moms and their babies, aligning with the university's values of student involvement, leadership development, and community service.
  5. Campaigns and Projects: Overseeing the development and implementation of meetings, campaigns, and projects for the on-campus club adds an educational and experiential dimension to students' involvement. 
  6. Positive Impact on Campus Culture: The Campus Liaison role contributes to creating a campus culture that values inclusivity, support, and empowerment. By actively promoting and overseeing initiatives that empower Student-Moms, the role aligns with the university's commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
