MISSION:

JOB SUMMARY:
Perform work as needed for the Production Department. Daily work is completed while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Must be detail oriented with a proficiency in mechanical assemblies. Assisting new employees regarding job specifics tasks when assigned. Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need.
- Assists assigned floor supervisor to ensure timely production of goods
- Assembles / manufactures complex goods in a production line setting
- Uses manufacturing equipment and handheld tools on a routine basis
- Operates a standard sewing machine, utilizing standard sewing techniques to sew diverse fabrics to customers specifications.
- Operates other production machinery including 3-D printers, heat sealers, etc.
- Responsible for transporting work materials between work areas.
- Follows production guidelines and specifications including health and safety guidelines.
- Maintains production standards/productivity/speed targets without compromising quality.
- Compress paperwork required for production.
- Provides Quality Control for the Production Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of relevant experience
- A combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience may suffice for the above requirements
- Must have proficient experience working with a standard sewing machine, utilizing standard sewing techniques to sew diverse fabrics.
- Must satisfy Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level 2 background screening requirement
- During employment, will need to satisfy eight hours of continuing competency units (CCUs) annually. Training will be provided by the company
- Additional formal industry certification(s) may be required based on area of assignment
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience operating electric tools and manufacturing equipment. Training may be available.
- Previous work in a production, warehouse or factory setting

- Ability to regularly attend work and arrive punctually for designated work schedule
TRAVEL
- No travel is expected for this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort usually involving some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 30 pounds).
- May involve some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, crawling, walking, or standing.
- Requires manual dexterity to manufacture small and fragile components.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Tasks are regularly performed indoors in an air-conditioned environment without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
- Occasional work may be done in a warehouse environment that is not air conditioned, employees may be exposed to high temperature, humidity, cold, etc.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Most tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity
