Role Summary:

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Digital Marketing & Ecommerce Website Developer with specialized skills in Shopify and a passion for Direct To Consumer (DTC) e-commerce. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic marketing insights to craft compelling online shopping experiences. This full-time, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and benefits, as well as the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, based out of either Monroe, MI or Ann Arbor, MI.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and maintain Shopify e-commerce sites, emphasizing user experience and interface.

Customize site functionality and appearance using Shopify themes, Liquid templating, and APIs.

Enhance site performance and user engagement through the integration of marketing technologies and CRM systems.

Work collaboratively with stakeholders such as brand managers and designers to ensure development aligns with brand strategy.

Utilize performance data for web innovation and customer interaction improvements, maintaining high standards of responsive design.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Marketing, or a related field. Candidates with significant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree will be considered.
• 5 years of full-stack web development experience. Strong preference given to candidates with significant experience on Shopify and DTC platforms.
• Proficiency in front-end development (HTML, CSS/Tailwind, JavaScript/React) and expertise in Shopify development (Liquid, custom theme development, app integrations, API utilization).
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for analyzing and debugging complex issues.
• Understanding of e-commerce back-end systems (CRM, inventory management) and their Shopify integration.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with headless Shopify development, custom Shopify apps, and SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet or Asana) and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.
• Shopify certifications, agency experience, performance optimization, scalability of e-commerce platforms, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks are a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with a proactive mindset and a strong desire for continuous learning and improvement. Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments, driving results through motivation and clear direction.
