Broken Arrow Communications, Inc. (“BACOM”) https://www.bacom-inc.com/ seeks a dynamic individual to join the Tower to serve as an entry level RF Tower Tech 1 for the company’s Nevada office located in Henderson, NV. BACOM has nine offices throughout the western US. In this position, the individual will work closely with the assigned crew, to ensure proper field project execution which will include safety on all work related matters, and integrity in the project build. The Tech 1 will be honest, transparent, and accountable in all aspects of their job and they will assist in creating a division culture of honesty, transparency and accountability. This is an entry level position for those individuals wanting to join the telecommunications industry who have non or minimal prior work experience within this business field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform installation, inspection and maintenance services for wireless radio and antenna systems on towers, rooftops and other elevated structures
- Mount antennas (Panels and microwave dishes), run coax, apply connectors, sweep lines, and PIM Test Coax lines
- Installation of tower top equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, true up, shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, reading maps and a compass, torque to spec, labeling, picture-taking, documentation, plumb and tilt readings with smart level, etc.
- Perform tower top work and ensure that a quality and safe installation has been performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, etc.
- Assemble monopole, self-support and guyed towers
- Antenna installation of microwave parabolic 1 to 15-foot, VHF, UHF, cellular
- Transmission line and installation of foam or air dielectric coaxial, hardline and elliptical wave-guides
- Responsible for tool inventory and upkeep daily on job site.
- Responsible for assigned equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand a customer detail plan
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
- Must be able to climb and perform work at various heights, up to 400 feet, for long periods of time
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs. includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
- Must be able to pull his/her own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly for long periods of time
- May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
- Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
- Must pass the Authorized Climber & Competent Climber/Rescue certification training provided
- Must pass the OSHA Construction 10 HR Safety Training Card class
- Must pass the First Aid and CPR certification training class
- Must pass the RF/EME safety training class
- Posses and maintain a valid Driver's License
- Achieve industry competence with test equipment
- Be able to site required photos
Work Schedule:
Must be able to work and maintain a flexible work schedule that includes irregular hours, shift work, weekends, overtime, and holidays.
