What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gatekeeper-Leader position at BAE INDUSTRIES, INC.?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Trains all gatekeeper new hires.

Ensures all company work rules are followed.

Packs parts.

Pulls daily shipments from picklists.

Weighs the parts coming off of the press lines and back assembly areas.

Weighs and notes the scrap volume from the press lines.

Moves and stores stock, as needed.

Labels outgoing shipments as well as relabeling containers based on customer or internal changes.

Wraps daily orders in shrink wrap to be staged for outgoing shipments.

Operates lift truck to load, unload and transport material as needed.

Replaces liquefied gas tank or recharges battery.

Completes Hilo check sheet every day at the beginning of shift.

OTHER SKILLS

Must be able to pass written test and demonstrate proficiency driving a Hilo and data entry skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

REASONING ABILITY -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

QUALITY While performing the essential functions of the job, action must be initiated to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process, and quality system. Initiation of action may include: stopping production, recording quality problems and reporting quality concerns directly to a supervisor.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM While performing the essential functions of the job, action must be taken to maintain, conform and improve the company’s Environmental Management System. Action should be initiated to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity by reporting problems and concerns directly to management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
