Job Description
Are you looking for a career in Contract Management? We have an opening for a Manager II position within the Navigation & Sensor Systems product line. The Contract Management role is an integral part of each program team. Our role significantly contributes to the success of our organization has responsibilities throughout the entire lifecycle of a program.
This position will have two primary responsibilities: (i) Contract Management and (ii) Team Lead for Customer Specialists.
The individual in this role will need to:
  • Have an appreciation of the role of the Contracts function and engages effectively with key functions to maximize the value of the business solution.
  • Manage medium-to-high complex contracts for assigned programs, including planning, negotiating, administering & executing proposals & contract documents and closure.
  • Create formal networks with key decision makers, both internal and external to the organization.
  • Serve as consultant to senior management, providing advice and counsel on complex contractual and business matters.
  • Appropriately apply all internal policies and processes to fulfil the Operational Framework.
  • Have an appropriate level of awareness of the aspects of the law that affect the activities of the business and ensures that appropriate legal advice is obtained.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with current and potential customers to understand their needs and shape their requirements.
  • Provide the Contracts contributions required for business winning activities up to proposal submission.
  • Use appropriate tools and techniques to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve the optimum business outcome.
  • Identify and manage Risks and Opportunities. Contribute to risk mitigation activities and exploit opportunities as they arise.
  • Understand financial principles and concepts and make sound financial decisions which support and enhance the position of the Company.
  • Understand and can draft the various contract types and agreements to suit the business environment.
  • Understand the complete business ecosystem including developing and executing strategy, the integration of internal operations to deliver the value proposition, the supply chain, market trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis.
  • Have the ability to effectively and confidently lead & develop a team of individuals who will provide support to the Ops Services activities, such as quoting and administering repair/service orders.
  • Have the ability to provide mentorship to Contracts professionals at various experience levels.
  • Participate in identification of training needs for the NSS Contracts team.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's and ten years of contract management experience is required.
Solid understanding of Contract types and DoD acquisition process is required.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Previous experience with leading/managing a team of individuals is preferred.
Active Secret clearance is preferred.
Experience with Oracle is preferred.
Understanding of Operations processes for repair/service efforts is preferred.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $109600 - $186300

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
