Job Description
The Sensors and Electronics Solutions team in Fort Walton Beach, Florida has an immediate opening for Material Planning Coordinator.
I. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Provides support to the material planning and control function. Prepares and monitors material requisitions and material schedules with production schedules. Maintains engineering specifications and production schedules and plans material movement within purchasing, warehouse and production. Creates and generates reports on material plans and schedules.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent(s) perform one or more of the following duties.)
1. Coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisor priorities.
2. Coordinates with suppliers and shippers to expedite purchased material. Maintains accurate shipping and delivery information from suppliers.
3. Researches part information from vendor catalogs, Fedlog and other sources to ascertain the validity of the item requirement.
4. Compiles material status information for use in reporting overall project material status. Prepares weekly report on status of requisitions purchased.
5. Works closely with key Program personnel to insure program databases are providing our government customers with the most accurate and up to date information possible for their requirements.
6. Obtains pricing and cost data for proposal efforts. Prepares requests for quotations as required and sends to prospective suppliers, prepare justifications while ensuring that proposed materials meet company standards and constitute a complete package.
7. Accurately process customer request into sales orders while maintaining essential records and issue reports as required concerning purchases, prices and suppliers.
8. Provides support as required to resolve issues related to invoice processing to Accounts Payable.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma or GED AND 2 years of related experience
Experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position
Communicates effectively, both verbally and written.
Capable of executing to established processes and procedures.
Exhibits high level of motivation, attention to detail, and energetic approach to job duties.
Excellent organization and follow through skills.
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Salary Min $32,573 - Salary Max $55,355

Deltek COSTPOINT experience a huge plus
