Job Description
BAE Systems Intelligence & Security division is seeking an Oceanographer to join our team in Quantico, VA in support of a Maritime effort for (MAGIC) Marine Corps Intelligence Activity Analysis, Geospatial Imagery, and Counterintelligence Support Services program.

The ideal candidate will provide direct support to MCIA to provide situational awareness and intelligence production and analysis for numerous Areas or Responsibilities (AORs).

Candidate will conduct analytic production on the physical characteristics, distribution, and circulation of oceans and large seas to determine the impacts of the physical environment with respect to military operations and commercial activities, logistics over-the-shore, flight operations/power projection from the sea, submarine operations, etc. Assess meteorological and climatological impacts to operations.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

At least 12 years of relevant experience with a portion being within the last 2 years.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to, in the areas as stated below:

  • Define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
  • Analytic leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing analytic production methodologies, tradecraft and techniques aligned with the imagery science mission.
  • Extensive ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to planners and policymakers.
  • Candidates will be expected to:

  • Assess meteorological and climatological impacts to operations.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Customer is requesting a seasoned Intelligence Analyst preferably with multi-INT expertise, excellent research, writing, and briefing skills to customer senior leadership, as they pertain to an intelligence environment supporting critical operations.
  • Master’s degree in an area related to the field of work.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
