Quality Inspector - 1st Shift

Job Description
The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina, supporting Combat Mission Systems is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 1st Shift.

In this role, the Quality Inspector will:

• Inspect machined and/or welded parts to blueprint requirements for shipment to customer base;
• Provide auditing support to shop floor operations;
• Support on the 1st Shift.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically requires a High School diploma, or the overall equivalent.
• Must have experience with and/or knowledge of basic inspection tools including:
  • Scales,
  • Calipers,
  • Micrometers,
  • Height gages, etc.
• Able to read, comprehend, and work to blueprints.
• Must be able to support the 1st Shift.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Coordinate measurement machine (CMM);
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T);
• Weld inspection;
• Faro Arm/Laser Tracker.
