Job Description
Reviews USG/BAE Systems designed commodities, new and revised released engineering CAD models, drawings and documentation to determine classifications within the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as well as determine the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code and Schedule B number for USG/BAE Systems designed commodities for the purposes of Import/Export compliance & Program objectives. This position will also perform a review of ITAR or EAR, HTS and Schedule B classifications of Supplier-designed commodities submitted by the Supplier to Combat Vehicles.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Knowledge of products and advanced knowledge of functional or technical area; advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices in area of expertise.
- Ability to read, interpret, and use related reference documents and drawings prepared by other disciplines, vendors, or outside sources.
- Excellent communication skills, common sense and the patience to review drawings, standards requirements and present documentation requirements at meetings, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with direct supervisors.
- Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and executing work while being sensitive to schedule.
- Perform in-house searches utilizing online resources, CD ROM, catalogs, etc., for part/item screening for various vehicle programs.
- Able to perform other tasks, duties or special projects as assigned by direct supervisor or Department Manager.
- A proven track record of complying with company policies and procedures.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ensures proper time charging (Indirect and Direct).
- Associate's degree.
