What are the responsibilities and job description for the Subject Matter Expert position at BAE Systems?
Join BAE Systems' Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of an agile team that enables our employees to support our customers and their missions. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will provide senior technical leadership to the Program Manager and technical teams. You will apply your extensive knowledge of customer mission requirements and environments to guide rationalization activities, operating at the forefront of an innovative BAE Systems IT team. In your role as Subject Matter Expert, you will analyze the performance and functionality of multiple systems to identify redundancies and opportunities for efficiencies in order to provide recommendations regarding the integration and disposition of legacy systems, networks, and applications. Additional responsibilities include the definition and documentation of system requirements (performance and functional),as well as reducing overlapping capabilities and improving overall performance are central taskings for a Subject Matter Expert, as you will oversee and review propositions for disposition and bundling, ultimately offering potential improvements and ensuring the successful technical execution of the program.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Business Management, or an IT-related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 6 year's relevant experience.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Required skills will vary but may include Software Development, Database Administration, Systems and/or Network Administration/Engineering
