Job Description
The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties in support of various customers, including :
1. Pulling, staging and loading of material and equipment for delivery
2. Comparing paperwork against material and equipment being shipped
3. Packing and shipping of material and equipment
4. Processing of shipping documentation and shipping / carrier paperwork.
5. Selecting the correct material handling equipment to perform tasking
6. Coordinating with peers and government project engineers on pick up and delivery material and equipment at off-site locations, to include, but limited to Bath, ME;
Pascagoula, MS; Charleston, SC; Norfolk, VA; Marlton, NJ; and Mayport, FL
7. Managing equipment in Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) system to support ships with CASREP requirements.
8. Communicating / coordinating with all levels of staff, including; Engineering, Production, Testing, Administrative, and Project Management, as well as outside entities, such as government agencies, commands, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), etc.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St.
Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School diploma and at least one year of related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to pass a background check to gain access to all government sites / locations and databases
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Prior inventory management system experience
Ability to operate a forklift
Current CDL
Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
