Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of healthcare infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget, schedule, and quality parameters. Your role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, architects, and government agencies, to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD), and deliver exceptional results.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

   - Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, for healthcare infrastructure projects.

   - Coordinate with the project team to ensure effective execution and adherence to project objectives.

   - Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.

   - Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, and building codes, including OSHPD requirements, throughout the project lifecycle.

 

2. Stakeholder Management:

   - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, subcontractors, and architects involved in healthcare infrastructure projects.

   - Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and maintain effective communication channels.

   - Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve any project-related issues or conflicts in a timely and satisfactory manner.

   - Conduct regular meetings to provide project updates and gather feedback from stakeholders.

 

3. Budgeting and Cost Control:

   - Develop and manage project budgets, closely monitoring costs and expenses.

   - Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate cost estimations and value engineering opportunities.

   - Implement effective cost control measures to maximize project profitability while maintaining quality standards.

   - Review and approve subcontractor invoices, change orders, and payment applications.

 

4. Quality Assurance and Safety:

   - Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

   - Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

   - Collaborate with the safety team to develop and enforce site-specific safety plans.

   - Implement corrective actions to address quality and safety concerns promptly.

 

5. Team Leadership and Development:

   - Lead and manage a project team, including subcontractors, site supervisors, and administrative staff.

   - Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members throughout the project lifecycle.

   - Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.

   - Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for professional growth and development.

 

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

- Proven experience as a Project Manager in healthcare infrastructure construction.

- Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, including OSHPD requirements, funding sources, and compliance requirements.

- Strong knowledge of construction project management principles, techniques, and best practices.

- Demonstrated experience in project planning, budgeting, and cost control.

- Proficiency in project management software and tools.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results.

- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
