SUMMARY:
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Risk Management team as a Risk Management Analyst. The Risk Management department partners and collaborates with business units, corporate resource departments and external stakeholders to anticipate, identify, understand, and manage key operational risks faced by the firm. Our disciplines include oversight of Baird’s business continuity, financial risk management, internal audit, information security, operational and regulatory related risks and third party/vendor risk management activities.
This entry level position allows the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in multiple areas of the company, while also gaining experience by supporting several teams within the Risk Management department. The ideal candidate is collaborative, intellectually curious with a desire to learn about capturing and monitoring risk metrics, has strong attention to detail and the ability to manage or coordinate the implementation of enhancements to our key risk initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain data visualizations for internal performance metrics, recommendation dashboards for senior leaders, and other required items.
Coordinate and prepare documentation for periodic audits, working with third-party auditors and tracking project deliverables.
Proofread written communication to ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and content.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk and other departments to uphold the integrity and quality of information in critical systems.
Identify and propose solutions to enhance process efficiency.
Support the development and maintenance of Risk Management reports and presentations.
Perform other duties as assigned, including projects and other assignments within the broader Risk Department.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
0-2 years of professional experience plus a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with an interest in learning new technologies like PowerBI, MS Visio, and SQL.
Excellent multitasking skills, capable of handling multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines.
Possesses intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to learn about various aspects of our business and the key technologies supporting the Risk Management department.
Demonstrates potential to grow into other Risk Management roles in the future.
Strong attention to detail.
Willingness to work extra hours when necessary to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
