This role is in charge of programming a feature and or a small feature set. It will contribute to the team and works with direction from the Senior Team Members or management but works independently.
As a FPGA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as a member of the Bently Nevada's Embedded Software Development Team, representing the face of high-quality design and development practices
- Developing high performing, scaling and innovative Verilog
- Collaborating with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
- Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
- Writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
- Understanding performance parameters and assess application performance
- Working on critical modules and algorithms and implement them using Verilog and System Verilog

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
- Have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience related to FPGA product development.
- Have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience using Verilog or VHDL programming language
- Have a solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to power a complex FPGA design
- Have the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks
- Have the ability to make basic technology choices based on experience
