Job Posting for Process Technology Manager at Baker Perkins, Inc.
The Process Technology Manager reports to the Executive Director, Infusent and the position’s responsibilities include:
Manage process trials and training sessions within the Innovation Center and/or at customer sites for defined technologies to help develop closer customer relationships and assist with securing profitable capital sales
Manage the Innovation Center, and ensure that the skills base and sufficient resources are available to meet the planned schedule of work in the Innovation Center
Compile, interpret, and store laboratory test and site process data on end products to support the development of process transformation diagrams and accurate technical proposals aimed at differentiating Baker Perkins equipment from the competition and establishing a competitive advantage
Maintain database containing accurate customer contacts, correspondences, trial/visit reports, and inquiries related to testing and trials
Communicate process requirements to define equipment specifications and costing with company engineering teams and external suppliers as needed
Support the training of Innovation Centre resources ensuring they are competent in the operation of maintenance of equipment.
Conceive and present innovative development ideas for the company’s equipment range based on the market and customer’s technology and process needs
Support process commissioning on customer sites, at times.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to interact and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and internal team members on a technical and commercial level
Ability to make professional and logical presentations to customers and project a positive image for the business
Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office, Windows, Project)
Good technical knowledge of food processing equipment and systems
High degree of mechanical and electrical aptitude
Ability to lead and build a team while working effectively in a cross-functional work environment
Good creativity and decision-making skills to help address a wide variety of customer needs
Well-developed sales skills preferred
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities for timely completion
Ability to travel to and from customers and vendors to perform various job roles
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Food Process Engineering and/or Applications experience preferred
Direct customer presentation experience required
