What You’ll Do/ A Day in The Life Typically Includes
Responsible for a wide range of activities including gathering data, organizing information, analyzing historical results making forecasts and projections, making recommendations, and gathering presentations and reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of marketplace and product lines to effectively produce financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting for domestic and international markets.
- Creation, design, and regular distribution of informative financial reports/analysis through the collection, organization, and validation of data from various sources using spreadsheet, database, and customer relationship management software.
- Identification and communication of material changes in trends or deviations from targets that require management attention/action.
- Preparation, consolidation, and validation of materials used for management review of monthly financial results.
- Prepare detailed worksheets to support the annual budget / quarterly forecasting processes. Monitor ongoing financial system inputs for completeness/accuracy/validity and create presentation materials to present budget / forecast and assumptions to senior management.
- Manage detailed revenue forecasting for international subscription products.
- Analyze and review allocated/activity-based profitability analysis. Manage the annual assumption/estimate update process for library division departments.
- Interacts on a daily basis with various internal functional areas such as sales, customer success, accounting and senior and mid-level management.
- Other reporting/analysis and special projects as required.

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision requirements include close vision in order to view PC and read written documents.

Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other business administration with two to four years of related experience.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and participate in team-based environments.
- Thorough understanding of financial statements, budgeting/forecasting concepts and variance analysis methods.
- High level of analytical ability, including strong PC skills and far above average proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data-oriented software programs.
- Ability to manage and self-prioritize multiple assignments under tight/changing time constraints.
- Broad business acumen and proven ability to work with business functions outside of finance/accounting.
