We are seeking an experienced accountant to join Baker Tilly's Internal Financial Reporting Team. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a proven background in complex accounting, reporting, and financial analysis, ready to take their career to the next level. In this role, you will have exposure to complex general ledger activities, financial review & analysis, subsidiary accounting, and other special projects. You will also be instrumental in assisting Baker Tilly's business leaders with their financial reporting needs, including related analyses critical to the continued success of our business.
Responsibilities
• Primary responsibilities for the following finance functions (not all-inclusive):
o Month-end close activities including journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
o Financial statement analysis
o Preparation and review of monthly affiliate financial statements
o Preparation of monthly supplemental reporting for firm leadership
o Assist with fixed asset processes including annual inventory process and personal property tax returns.
• Support integration efforts for Firm combinations.
• Provide support to firm partners and managers regarding financial reporting matters.
• Support and enhance internal business unit and firm operations by acquiring knowledge of firm operations and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in and/or manage internal projects.
• Proactively maintain and expand knowledge base in areas of responsibility. Integrate new knowledge and skills into daily work and share with colleagues, as appropriate.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, as well as the ability to work independently with technical competence in accounting.
• Ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, and maintain confidentiality while providing exceptional client service.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills for interactions with all levels of Firm management and staff.
• Demonstrate analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to see the "big picture" as well as the details and exhibit a sense of urgency.
• Highly developed Microsoft Suite skills preferred with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.

For New York City and the state of Colorado only, the compensation range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
