Description : Scope / Purpose of the Position
This position will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in product inventory through identifying issues related to the product inventory and troubleshooting to resolve those issues.
This position will complete data entry activities along with being responsible for various reporting to the Inventory Control Lead.
Requirements : Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Analyze and identify inventory variances along with investigations of issues to find root cause and preventative actions.
- Communicates with QA, R&D and Production to gather information to maintain accurate data files.
- Attends interdepartmental meetings when needed, i.e. Weekly Holds meeting.
- Assist with special assignments as needed that are related to inventory with other departments.
- Update, and maintain inventory reports using spreadsheets or ERP reporting software.
- Perform inventory cycle counts on an as needed basis.
- Adheres to all safety and food safety rules inside the plant.
- Daily counting of finished goods production.
- Maintains Retention pallet file.
- Maintains QA Holds file.
- Maintains R & D product files.
- Comply with all OSHA regulations.
- Wear proper PPE while in the production and loading dock areas.
- Adhere to all GMP regulations.
- Uphold all BRC standards
- Report all Quality and Safety concerns to the Inventory Control Lead, or member of the management team. Concerns are, but not limited to, unknown visitors, pest control issues, and or all Quality and Sanitation issues.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Inventory Control Lead.
- Serve as backup on miscellaneous inventory tasks as needed.
Job Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in inventory control preferred.
- 2 years of experience using an ERP or similar inventory control software.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills required Excel, Word.
- Certified to operate a sit-down Forklift and High Reach truck.
- Scissor Lift experience preferred.
- Ability to respond to changing priorities.
- Interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and oral presentation skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb (including stairs / ladders).
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
- Physical dexterity necessary to handle supplies, machine parts and tools.
- Vision abilities : close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and
ability to adjust focus.
Backup
The Inventory Control Lead will back up this position when needed.
