Summary of the position
Hours: 10 hour worked days / 4 days a week / 3 days off.
The production team member is responsible for ensuring that products are produced efficiently, on time, on budget and in accordance with standards. This position can perform tasks in a variety of areas within the production department, such as baking, mixing, sugar, sealing, machine operation and packing.

Declaration of essential functions:
• Keep Bakery Bling's "Clean As You Go" policy for all areas of responsibility. This policy includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, and mopping floors, all baking equipment, racks, baking sheets, and tables, emptying trash, and removing cardboard.
• Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures of QA, GMP, HACCP, OSHA and BRC.
• Make sure all foods are always kept at least 6 inches off the ground.
• Comply with all federal and state regulatory requirements and the BRC program.
• Complete procedures of opening or closing for the specific department.
• Inspect products for conformity to quality specifications and notify the director of quality control if products or ingredients do not meet specifications for color, odor, appearance or have other abnormalities.
• Direct configuration, calibration, machine adjustments and revisions of production processes to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
• Notify the leadership team of team problems and breakdowns.
• Inspect all batches of pre-drafted recipes for conformity with formulas and verify that batches are complete.
• Work closely with the Production Manager and Quality Control leader or designee to ensure the right ingredients, proportions, and quantities of recipes are used.
• For Mixers only: Check production recipe formulas to determine pans and batches needed to complete daily production requirements.
• For Mixers only: Empty ingredients into a mixing bowl or other mixing or baking machine according to specific recipe formula instructions.
• Read and record all products, lot codes, quantities used, times and temperatures.
• For Mixers only: Prepare the dough, glazes, measure the ingredients using flakes and containers.
• For Mixers only: Empty the dough into pans, molds or leaf pans; Put containers in the oven while adhering to the recipe formula-specific instructions.
• For Mixers only: Monitor and adjust the temperature in the ovens. Check and observe the products as they are baked to make sure they are well baked, using the recipe formula guidelines.
• Take the temperature of each product that requires baking and cooling correctly.
• Casually and transfer baked goods to the correct packaging.
• Assembly and bake according to company specifications.
• Add the date and code of finished products packaged to specifications.
• Run finished packaged products on bread trays with the correct amount per tray, making sure the product is handled in a way that does not cause any cosmetic damage to the finished product.
• Run the finished packaged product through the calibrated metal detector machine, ensuring that the correct date of the product code is clear and visible.
• Visually and physically monitor the product and dispose of it if necessary for cooking, quality, size, weight, foreign objects and appearance.
• Stack the master cases with the finished product and that the paperwork "Upload mailing sheet" is attached, signed and correct.
• Complete the required annual training.

Type of position and expected working hours
This is a full-time position with varied shifts Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; or 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. 4 - 10 hour days schedules. The hours and work shift may change according to the needs of the business.
Education and experience required
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience: 6 months of relevant production line experience.
Preferred education and experience
Experience: 2 years of experience in production operations are preferred.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
You must be able to fulfill all duties with little or no help.
Bilingual preferred.
