Changing someone’s life can also change your own. When a direct support professional joins the Balance Autism team as an Autism Associate, they are not only jumping into an exciting career, they are touching the lives of the adults they work with on a daily basis.
In this role, you would be inspiring personal growth, teaching self-care, social skills development and in some cases, vocational skills. Adult Autism Associates work with individuals 18 years of age or older.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Pass pre-employment motor vehicle report and criminal background checks
We currently have Full-time and Part-time opportunities available in the following shifts:
1st Shift: 6:30AM to 2:30PM
2nd Shift: 2:30PM to 10:30PM
3rd Shift: 10:30PM to 6:30AM
Weekend Shift: Saturdays & Sundays - 6:30AM to 10:30PM
Shifts are primarily located in Altoona, IA; Pleasant Hill, IA; Ankeny, IA and Greater Des Moines, IA areas
