Description
Our team is looking for a hard-working front office medical assistant who will work with the physicians and other members of the practice by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties. This person will work to fulfill patient needs and ensure smooth patient flow within the practice for 90 days.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients on the phone and in person
- Place patients in the exam rooms
- Take vital signs of patients
- Assist and setup up for examination, treatment, and procedures
- Keep accurate patient files
- Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by podiatrist
- Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment
- Maintain HIPAA
Requirements
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a wound
- Strong communication skills and ability to actively listen
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Strong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office duties
- Customer services skills
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
Education and Experience
- One year of experience working as a medical assistant
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certification from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent combination of training
- EMR Experience, ModMed experience is a plus
- Current American Heart Association CPR Certification preferred

Hourly rates range from $21-$25 depending on experience.
