Essential Functions:
Develops, maintains a Service Culture that ensures the delivery of Superior internal/external guest service by all team members
Responsible for the selling, planning and coordination of catering and event services.
Responsible for all aspects of the event from conception, planning, inter-department communications for execution of the event and post event follow-up.
Will assist the Sales & Catering Manager with the following target markets as assigned: Casino Functions, Trade Shows, Social, and Wedding and Corporate events in conjunction with various other markets.
Management of Personal Account base and Event Calendar.
Provide tours of the facility (events center, hotel and casino property).
Plan all aspects of the events including and not limited to set up, food and beverage, décor, AV, set up and tear down and billing procedures.
Prepare all written inter departmental correspondence necessary to execute the event i.e.: Banquet Event Orders (BEO), contracts, proposals, billing instruction, changes, special needs, etc.
Prepare and provide reports, sales projections call reports, and special projects.
At the discretion of the Director of Hotel Operations and/or the Sales & Catering Manager attends events booked by you to assure client satisfaction.
Provide input as part of the Sales team regarding revenue forecasts, budgeting, menus, packages, industry trends, marketing, advertising and programs.
Details catering events with client by getting menus, room set-ups, guarantee number, payment, etc.
Attends daily and weekly sales/revenue/BEO meetings as directed by the Director of Hotel Operations.
Monitors room blocks and pick-ups for all groups through rooming lists and cut-off dates for all bookings.
Ensures department adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.
Knowledge of all promotions and events.
All other duties as assigned.

High School graduate or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong administrative, organizational and decision making abilities
Able to work varied shifts – i.e. days, nights, weekends, & holidays
Minimum 1 year of experience in selling group room blocks, catering and conference center sales or public facility management with a strong background in culinary operations, banquet food production and ability to effectively engage in sales lead generation.
Knowledge of hotel revenue management procedures for sleeping rooms and banquet forecasting
Physical Requirements:

Preferred
