ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Maintains cleanliness of hotel areas, including removal of all trash and biohazards.
- Promotes positive customer relations.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by Hotel Housekeeping Shift Manager.
- Responsible for maintaining stock of all supplies used by the GRA’s on all floors of hotel (toilet tissue, Kleenex, amenities, ashtrays, shower caps, and matches.)
- Delivers supplies from store room to Housekeeping Department to be dispensed to various employees of Housekeeping Department.
- Stocks store room from warehouse.
- Well informed of supply inventory.
- Responsible for emptying hampers under linen and trash chutes.
- Cleans elevators and chute room.
- Cleans carpets, drapes, vents, high dusting, and furniture in guest rooms (approximately 4 per day @ 25 minutes each) and corridors.
- Utilizes hotsos device to respond and complete issued service orders.
- Services guests with amenity requests. Delivers items to guest rooms.
- Services Guest Room Attendants requests, supplies them with needed items.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of 2 years experience in Housekeeping.
- Exceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality results.
- Position involves extended periods of walking, standing, lifting, twisting, and/or turning, driving, pulling, pushing and able to lift 51 lbs to 100 lbs.
- Job requires use of hand cart, pallet-jack, and electric cart.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Position requires use of commercial shampoo equipment, vacuum cleaners, and scrubbers.
- Must be able to read and exercise caution when using chemicals and electrical equipment.
- Use of arithmetic for the purpose of taking inventory.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
