ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Supervises the valet department and is responsible for the efficient and professional demeanor of the cast members who work in valet.

- Allocates funds, authorizes expenditures and assists in planning budgets for departments.
- Requisitions supplies and equipment.
- Inspects public access areas and outside grounds for cleanliness and appearance.
- Accurately uses proper telephone techniques and etiquette.
- Answers patrons’ complaints and resolves problems.
- Provides guest with information including hotel, casino and restaurants, including hours of operations, special events and promotions.
- Ability to relate effectively in one-on-one situations with guests and other members of the company.
- Be completely knowledgeable about all Bally's Shreveport programs, promotions, activities and functions.
- Perform tasks outlined on daily checklist.
- Must carry out safety and emergency procedures including, but not limited to fire, crowd,
- Must operate and control computer terminal.
- Must communicate with guests and be able to direct/escort them to various facilities and functions within the property.
- Must interact with guests and other employees in a courteous, empathetic and discreet manner.
- Supports and maintain Bally's Shreveport courtesy guidelines for guests and employees.
- Promotes outstanding guest relations.
- Supervises the storage, inventory and distribution of uniforms for the Bellmen and Valet.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages subordinate supervisors (lead valet attendants) who supervise valet attendants and clerks in the Valet Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees: planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Also supervises Bell Staff.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES/JOB DIMENSIONS: Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established by Eldorado from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to Bally's Shreveport Attendance Policy. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Bally's Shreveport policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of Company facilities. Employees who violate Company policies are subject to disciplinary action.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations required.
Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required.
Ability to type 25 words per minute.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic including use of percentage.
Ability to inspect areas of responsibility.
Ability to stand and sit for undefined periods of time.
Ability to read and write effectively including maintaining filing system.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the guests regarding any aspects of the casino/hotel operation.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver’s License with driving record acceptable to the organization insurance carrier.
