JOB TITLE: Event Crew
DEPARTMENT: Ballpark Experience
REPORTS TO: Special Events Manager
SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the preparation and break down of events at Oriole Park at Camden Yards (game and non-game day) while ensuring guests have a positive and safe experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to and including):
- Participate in the setup, execution, and break down of Oriole Park for all Orioles home games and non-baseball events.
- Assist and staff multiple game day locations to provide excellent customer service to fans.
- Provide guests safe, efficient, and effective service via shuttle and/or wheelchair in a timely manner.
- Provide guests with directions to seating areas, restrooms, concessions, novelty stores, and other Oriole Park services and amenities.
- Assist in the management and supervision of promotional giveaway distribution.
- Set up, manage, and breakdown the Kids Corner at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
- Create and deliver “Surprise & Delight” moments for fans.
- Provide tours and escort services for groups, VIPs, and special guests.
- Execute and deliver in-game contest prizes, rewards or fan acknowledgement.
- Effectively communicate with other team members via two-way radio.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as well as be available for large scale non-baseball events.
- Able to lift and carry items that weigh as much as 35 pounds.
- Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and climb stairs.
- Possess a positive attitude and strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.
- Have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with team members.
- Excellent problem solving and customer relations skills
- Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively.
