Location of work: South Walnut Elementary

Starting Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: Per BEA Contract

Hours to work: Per District School Calendar

Classification: Teacher

Required Qualifications:

  • *Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university
  • *Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement, qualified to teach in Michigan
  • *Highly Qualified by ESSA Standards
  • *High level of communication skills
  • *Ability to help create positivity and thrive in a professional environment that is one of mutual respect, teamwork, and accountability.
  • *To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • *Must pass a criminal background check as required by School Safety Legislation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • *Prior teaching/student teaching experience
  • *Enthusiastic, energetic & highly organized
  • *Experience with differentiated instruction strategies to benefit all learners and meet the needs of individual students
  • *Understanding and/or experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLC) training
  • *Willing to do what it takes!
