Job Description:
Global Markets Credit ("GMC") is responsible for ensuring robust and
consistent credit underwriting for Global Markets lending and trading
activities. Within GMC the SPE Credit Officer will be expected to develop
strong subject matter expertise in structured credit products. The officer
will work closely with banking and risk partners and help screen
transactions, negotiate terms and ultimately help drive repsonsible
growth. Coverage will include a portfolio of existing and new
transactions.
Job Description
• Provide Global Markets Credit coverage of the Special Purpose Entity
portfolio which includes Credit Linked Notes, Asset Repacks, Swaps
facing ABS structures, Commodity linked derivatives, FX and other
structured vehicle client types primarily for US based transactions
• Support the FICC and Equities trading businesses in reviewing
transaction structures, stress scenarios, terms and conditions
• Prepare Credit Approval Memorandum and Scorecards under the
oversight of the portfolio manager, identifying key risks and mitigants in
each transaction
• Coordinate review and approvals with Enterprise Credit Risk and Global
Markets Risk
• Provide input into internal governance forums, audits and regulatory
meetings
• Review ISDA, CSA and other traded products documentation
• Provide ongoing monitoring of transaction performance
• Coordinate periodic and/or adhoc reporting such as quarterly portfolio
reviews
• Provide GMC input into key projects/initiatives/ risk rating
approaches/limits

“Must” have these skills to be minimally qualified.
• BA/BS degree required; Finance or Accounting majors preferred
• 2 years of experience in financial services. Relevant prior experience may include roles in: credit risk management, structuring, trading, asset management, origination, rating agencies
• Knowledge of FICC and Equity traded products, traded product documentation including ISDA and CSAs
• Desire to research and understand new structures
• Strong knowledge or capacity to learn the bank's credit processes and systems • Ability to establish partnerships across the organization with Enterprise Credit Risk and other support partners
• Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Willingness/desire to improve and/or streamline processes
