Retirement & Personal Wealth Solutions (RPWS) serves the core financial needs of individual clients and plan participants by connecting our capabilities across the firm. RPWS is responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive set of personal wealth and retirement products and services through Banking, Merrill Edge and Advisory channels. RPWS provides tools and content that enables financial advisors and bankers to help their client’s live better financial lives.
Role and Responsibilities
The mission of the Participant Experience team is to deliver a differentiated and personalized experience that helps our participants live their best financial lives. The primary responsibility of the Traffic Manager is to manage the workflow for the creative and production departments from intake to delivery to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. It is a multi-dimensional role working with multiple team members to ensure satisfaction in execution. Knowledge of production timelines against media type, resources required to deliver, and capacity planning is critical. This is a fast-paced individual contributor role that reports to management within the Participant Experience – Communication & Education team.
Responsibilities include:
- Establish and maintain production schedule templates by media and type of work that will in turn be leveraged by the production managers to support servicing of the engagement consultants and all strategists for their initiatives. Continually assess opportunities to streamline action steps.
- Review new campaign and project requests to determine creative team assignments working with the Creative Director. Monitor projects and workloads, adjusting assignments and deadlines accordingly.
- Have line of site to key events and adjusts assignments and priorities as needed, including national education events, BOL and product enhancements, annual compliance notices, etc. so that capacity planning can be managed against those demands.
- Manage and negotiate through rush requests, realigning team priorities and communicating with request owners and production managers.
- Review custom requests and assess if they should leverage template materials or move to a platform as well as catalogue requests to identify what custom work should move to a template for efficiency and scale.
- Lead daily calls with production managers to provide updates, check on project tasks and ownership so workflow can be adjusted as needed, and weekly calls with creative, production, channel distribution, and strategy owners to provide overall updates.
- Working with team members, assess internal workflow software opportunities such as Microsoft Project

- Proficient with Excel, Sharepoint, and other project management platforms e.g. Microsoft Project,
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design or the equivalent work experience
- 5 years in a traffic, project or program management role at an ad agency or internal creative agency
