Description
Position Purpose: The main purpose of the summer internship program is to offer hands-on experience in an active wealth management department, together with the ability to interact and shadow experienced wealth management professionals. The successful candidate will have opportunity to contribute to projects, assignments and meetings that will expose you to learning more about the industry. The internship position will have a weekly set schedule, with some flexibility based on the needs of the department.
What you’ll do:
· Shadow and participate in various tasks to assist in the Trust Department.
· Observe and assist with Private Banking.
· Assist Trust Officers with regulatory account reviews.
· Assist in trust review process, estate settlements activities, real estate tracking, observation of wealth management meetings, and other items as needed.
· Participate in the Virginia Banker’s Association Internship Program.
· Perform other tasks as assigned on a day-to-day basis.
