What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT BCP Specialist position at Bank of Hope?
- Comprehend the requirements of FFIEC/FDIC guidelines to ensure activities performed are in alignment and
- Work with the Business Units to review and prepare annual BIAs, BC plan and DR plans as
- Assist the BCP manager in data collection, aggregation, and presentation to the BCP Steering Committee and Board Committees.
- Assist the BCP manager in conducting functional and tabletop testing of business processes, supporting applications, and workaround strategies. May be required to facilitate testing activities.
- Responsible for full lifecycle of Business Continuity Planning
- Facilitate developing of overall drills and testing plan to ensure the effectiveness of the BC Plan and DR Plan, and schedule, coordinate attend, and conduct the drill and testing in cooperation with the relevant departments.
- Provide oversight and document the results of drills and testing for the BC plan and DR Assist in developing and conducting BC program risk assessments and track remediation efforts.
- Conduct and promote Business Continuity training and
- Answer the BCP incident response hotline number & document the incident by gathering critical information & escalate as needed.
- Assist the BCP manager with managing the BCP mailbox and answering BCP and DR related
- Update and maintain BCP SharePoint site with most up-to-date business continuity program
- Continually review areas of responsibility for improvement opportunities. Ensure documentation is up to date and any identified risks are escalated appropriately. Work with IT to develop and review technology recovery solutions for identified applications to meet business need and to drive the disaster recovery planning process. Provide backup to the BCP manager in facilitation of all activities including the emergency response, crisis communication, incident response and pandemic response Coordinate the updates of the bank’s mass communication system with IT and HR. Assist the BCP manager in performing vendor reviews as directed. Assist the BCP manager in IT application portfolio management.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum Education Level: High school diploma or
- Minimum Job Experience: Must have 3 years of work experience in Business Continuity/Disaster recovery, including direct contribution to BIA, BC and DR plan development and execution.
- Language requirements: Written (Advanced), Verbal (Fluent)
- Computer/software skills: Advanced
- Required: Advanced in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree and BCP Certifications Preferred
The salary range for this full-time position is $43 Hourly - $53 Hourly bonus benefits
