What are the responsibilities and job description for the Underwriter-TMT position at Bank of Hope?
- Underwriting loans by analyzing corporate and personal financials, completing borrower and industry due diligence, completing AML/KYC, and drafting credit memos.
- Spread financial statements and create financial models to assist with credit analysis
- Proactive portfolio management of loan portfolio to monitor borrower financial performance and ensure covenant compliance
- Support business development initiatives by evaluating prospective borrowers, developing marketing materials, preparing term sheets, etc.
- Develop TMT industry knowledge by conducting research, attending conferences and maintaining regular dialogue and/or meeting with TMT industry participants (including state and federal regulators, industry analysts, investments banks, investors, law firms, etc.)
- Assist with episodic projects including internal and external audits, credit policy and procedure review, etc.

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
- Required: Pro-active self-starter – responds promptly to customer needs and internal requests
- Required: Excellent financial modeling capability with thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial statements and cash flow analysis
- Required: Extensive decision-making and analytical skills to evaluate information, determine risks vs. benefits.
- Required: Excellent communication skills, responds well to questions and demonstrates comfort with group presentation.
- Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
