POSITION DESCRIPTION

 This position will rove between the Ashton and Island Park Branches based on business needs.  

Universal Banker is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, friendly service to customers and prospective customers by providing value-added insight during consumer. UB provides support on the teller line and the drive-up window. The Universal Banker will fill a leading role in opening new accounts and promoting other financial services. Universal Banker maintains frequent customer contact and through the consultative approach strives to retain customers, deepen relationships, and generate new business. The Universal Banker supports a team environment between branches and other departments to exceed customer expectations and differentiate Bank of Idaho in our markets.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct daily business, including pay & receive transactions, new accounts, ancillary products, and consumer lending.
• Strives to understand the current relationship of the customer and offer information on bank products & services that can benefit them and enhance their relationship with Bank of Idaho.
• Demonstrate skill in customer experience phone calls, setting appointments and outbound calling.  
• When customer needs are in specialized areas such as mortgage, trust, or commercial loans, the UB will facilitate an introduction to a representative from the appropriate department.
• Provides ongoing relationship servicing with customers to deliver excellent customer service, maintain goodwill, and seek to expand relationships. 
• Prospects actively and regularly in the community to attract new relationships to Bank of Idaho.
• Promotes a positive image within the community. 
• Know ancillary products and services while using the consultative approach to enhance the customer relationship.
• Learn and adhere to operational policy and procedures, and security & compliance processes.
• Know Bank of Idaho’s lending policy and regulations concerning consumer lending.
• Learn and demonstrate skills in system platforms to process consumer loans, in a timely manner.
• Servicing consumer loan portfolios, including timely management of delinquency and exceptions.
• Meet requirements necessary to obtain an NMLS#.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Branch Manager

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent; college helpful but not required.
• One or more years’ experience in retail banking  
• Experience in consumer lending
