Direct and supervise platform and teller activity to provide efficient high quality customer service, achieve retail sales targets, and deliver that service profitability through a well trained and motivated staff. Ensure compliance with State & Federal regulations. Provide leadership in our sales and service activities to increase our sales and revenue to ensure all branch goals are met and client relationships are maximized, while following and implementing the bank’s policies, including and deposit and loan procedures.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
- Promote the sale and cross sale of various bank products to suitable prospects
- Examine, evaluate, underwrite, approve and process loan applications for branch staff
- Daily supervision of Branch staff; including opening new accounts, loan origination and solving customer issues
- Ensure staff members are aware of banking regulations to ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws
- Provide courteous service to clients/prospects, making cross sales and referral when appropriate and utilizing CRM
- Establish relationships with retail and business customers, tracking sales and opportunities in CRM
- Communicate to branch all data from Operational meetings and ensure staff is aware and addressing all urgent emails.
- Approve transactions, authorize exceptions and adjustments. Resolve all out of balance conditions
- Ensure new employees are adequately trained and provide necessary follow-up
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for Branch
- Assist Manager with Branch operations and facility management
- Conduct branch Sales meetings in absence of Manager
- Community Volunteer participation
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years previous experience as a CSR/Teller or related position
- 2-4 years previous banking in consumer banking or related position, including lending experience
- 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
- Notary Public certification within 30 days
- Supervisory experience preferred
Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Medallion Signature guarantee
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable compliance issues and banking regulations
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Knowledge of credit review and underwriting practices
- Basic PC skills, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel software
- Strong organizational skills
