BASIC PURPOSE:
Business development officer and manager of a loan portfolio (commercial and consumer) and deposit relationships (commercial and consumer).
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Business development officer and manager of a loan portfolio (commercial and consumer) and deposit relationships (commercial and consumer).
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Primary responsibility is to develop business throughout the Golden Triangle (Columbus in particular) to actively grow loans and deposits.
- Approve/decline loans that are within approved lending limits in accordance with sound lending practices (present loan requests above lending limit for appropriate approval as needed).
- Collect and analyze financial and related data to determine credit worthiness and maintain compliance with loan policy and federal/state regulations.
- Communicate with related team members and applicants to explain credit decisions and obtain additional loan information or documentation if needed.
- Review loans and past due report to work with customers who are behind on their payments and help them avoid default.
- Work with collections team with special mention/substandard loans and Justice Court system if applicable for charged off loans/collections.
- Review loan exception report to clear any outstanding loan exceptions in a timely manner.
- Provide general information and cross-sell loans and services to different lines of business (consumer loans, treasury, mortgage, SBA, credit cards, deposit accounts etc.).
- Utilizes “BankFirst Performs” platform to input loan and deposit pipeline information/customer calls and to submit referrals to correct line of business.
- Promote bank through various community functions and events and serve on various boards in the community to increase the banks visibility and enhance new business opportunities
- Maintain a membership and actively serve in a civic club of choice approved by the Community Bank President
- Daily review and approval/disposition of deposit account overdrafts associated with loan portfolio relationships
