This position has a role in supporting the Premier Banking Team.

Responsible for working with the Premier Banking Relationship Officers by assisting with key client administrative functions, as well as overseeing the compliance of retail operations procedures. Responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent customer relations with the Premier Banking clientele.  In addition, the position will serve as a channel for coaching and development, with the potential position as a Premier Banking Relationship Officer in the future.

Responsibilities

Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to Premier Banking and Ocean Point Investment Solutions customers.

All employees of BankNewport are expected to support Bank wide efforts designed to understand, measure, monitor, reduce, control and report risk in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Risk management includes but is not limited to compliance risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, market risk, operations risk and systems risk as well as attention to physical building safety and security.

• Assists Premier Relationship Manager and Officers with administrative duties to include all maintenance, account opening documentation, servicing, etc.
• Communicate with Premier clientele and service their banking needs, which will include local travel
• Supports Premier Relationship Manager and the Premier Team with daily functions
• Attend all Premier Banking/OPIS meetings, as well as assigned branch huddle meetings
• Assists in building strong referral relationships between Business Development Officers, Mortgage Originators, Commercial Lenders and OceanPoint Investment Solutions Advisors and Branch staff. Represent Premier Banking in interactions with other departments and vendors.
• Maintains and promotes active participation in Bank and community affairs.

• Proven relationship building and sales experience
• Individual must possess excellent customer service, negotiation, analytical, decision-making, networking, and problem solving skills.
• Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.

No supervisory responsibility

INDEPENDENT ACTION:

Establishes short-range plans and objectives within scope of Bank-wide policies and goals. Consults with manager regarding policy interpretation or exceptions.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent plus a minimum of five years’ experience in sales, service, and business development endeavors.
• Previous experience with Retail Banking a plus.
