Under the direction of the SVP, Director of Project Management and Business Intelligence, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing concurrent, highly visible strategic projects using agile and traditional project management methods in a fast-paced environment across multiple business lines.

Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Define project scope, and schedule and identify and organize priorities within the project
  • Organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports
  • Manage project risks and issues
  • Direct, motivate, build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with all managers, project team members, and stakeholders, including those external to the organization, in order to achieve strategic objectives
  • Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments
  • Remove roadblocks and impediments to the project team’s work
  • Support the Product Owner in managing expectations for project deliverables
  • Manage stakeholder communications
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech environment with multi-function teams.
  • Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles, as well as Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
  • PMP designation preferred, but not mandatory
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members
  • Sufficient level of technical background to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
  • Experience with process mapping and documentation
  • BA or BS or equivalent experience is required
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Experience with Smartsheets as well as the Microsoft Suite of products
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of banking industry business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of stakeholder trust and confidence
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • An unwavering spirit of optimism, collegiality, curiosity and humility
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view

    INDEPENDENT ACTION:

     

    Establishes own work plan and performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices.  Refers specific problems to your direct manager where clarification of policies and procedures is necessary.

Risk management includes but is not limited to compliance risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, market risk, operations risk and systems risk as well as attention to physical building safety and security. Furthermore, all support staff employees are expected to fully support the Bank’s “All In” initiative and utilize support staff training to consistently provide sales support to all departments. They should also possess an understanding of their department’s support metrics and continue to improve Bank efficiencies.
